We are brewing something
In order to raise awareness for the #StopFinningEU campaign Sea Shepherd Belgium is launching its second limited edition beer: Hazy Shark. Every year 73 million sharks die with their fins cut off to end in shark fin soup, a delicacy in Asia. A lot of the fins are transported via the EU to Asia. The #StopFinningEU campaign aims to end the trade of shark fins in the EU including the import, export and transit of fins. By drinking this beer, you will directly support the campaign and help save the ocean and the animals that live in it.
Hazy Shark can be described as a sister beer to last year’s beer Pale Whale, a blond IPA (India Pale Ale) with hints of Citra and Amarillo hop, giving it a subtle and irresistible tropical flavour. Like last year, the beer was brewed in collaboration between Sea Shepherd and Tall Poppy Brewing Company. It is a beer with a story, brewed with passion and love by Sea Shepherd volunteers guided by the expertise and safe hands of Jo Olluyn, owner of Tall Poppy Brewery.
